Port Vell, the Old Port, is the oldest part of the first official port of the city of Barcelona and it was remodelled for the 1992 Olympic Games; from that time it became a marina for pleasure boats.

At one end of the Old Port, we can see Rambla de Mar, which leads to a large leisure area known as Maremagnum, which includes the aquarium, the world's largest marine centre with a Mediterranean theme.
