The old Casarramona textile factory is now the home of Caixa Forum, which organizes interesting exhibitions. The factory, which made cotton threads and fabric, was designed by the Art Nouveau architect, Josep Puig i Cadafalch in 1909. Nearby is the Mies van der Rohe pavilion, the national pavilion of Germany, built for the 1929 exhibition and a key work of Rationalist architecture.
