In this stretch, Avinguda Diagonal has a large collection of offices, hospitals and shopping malls, including Illa Diagonal, built in the 1990s by the architect Solà Morales.

The Rationalist building has become one of the most characteristic images of the Diagonal avenue. The building incorporates a hotel, an auditorium, offices, a market and a large number of shops.
